Open Shoot on 13/8/17

Please note that the next open shoot will be held at the club on Sunday 13th August 2017.

As a result, the club practice courses (the Black and Blue courses) will be closed to all on 12th and 13th August.

For those intending to compete in the open shoot, please note that you need to be a full NFAS member - membership cards will be checked on registration.

There are currently places available but please ensure you enter using the shoot entry form soon. Helen will be closing registration at midday on Thursday 10th August to give her time to sort out the entries.

Events at the Club

We've pencilled in a date for our 2017 Club Championships - Sunday 15th October 2017. We'll post more details closer to the time but in the meantime, if you are interested, make a note in your diaries. As last year, it will be open only to club members, will be free of charge to enter, and although tea and coffee facilities will be available, no other catering will be arranged.

Also in October (6th to 8th October 2017) we are playing host to 3dUK for one of their shoots. They will be setting up their course on the left hand side of the access road and so the Black Course will be closed that weekend. The Blue Course will remain open for members to use if they wish.

Our next open shoot will be held on Sunday 13th August 2017. Please note that both practice courses (Black and Blue) will be closed for that weekend.

21st May 2017 - Clive Freemantle Memorial Shoot

Another very successful open shoot - this time blessed with fantastic weather.

Challenging courses were matched with some excellent (and close) scores. The overall winner of the Clive Freemantle trophy (open only to compound unlimited archers) was, for the second year in a row, Owen Blackmore. Well done Owen.

Full results for the shoot will be published on the "Shoot Results and Reports" page of this web sire when available. In the meantime, enjoy (!!) the selection of photos uploaded to the "Photo Galleries" page.

Many thanks to all those who helped - the course layers, the caterers and, of course, Helen for the administration and scoring.

Open Shoot 21st May 2017

Just a warning to those intending to travel to the Fleet Ibex Open Shoot on 21st May 2017.

The M3 will be closed from Junction 2 (M25) to 3 (Lightwater) for the whole weekend for re-surfacing work. If this affects you, you are advised to allow extra time for the journey or find an alternative route.

16th April 2017 - Fleet Ibex Open Shoot

Many thanks to all who contributed to another fantastic day of shooting on 16/1/17. This included the fiendish course setters (who never make life easy!), Helen (for the administration and scoring) and the new catering team (who did a great job).

A report and full scores will be published as soon as they are available.

In the meantime - a gallery of photographs has been added. If anyone has any more they would like to publish, please sent them to me either through the contacts section on this web site or the email address on the membership form.

5th March 2017 - AGM

Many thanks to those of you who attended the AGM on Sunday 5/3/17.

Around 20 members attended which considering the foul weather was encouraging.

Those who attended heard that the club continues to thrive with an increasing membership and a satisfactory bank balance.

As a result of Stuart's request to stand down as Chair of the club, Sharon Charman was proposed, seconded and elected unopposed to the position. Many thanks to Sharon for being willing to take this on.
